So, now I have lots more copies to make, documents to download, and paperwork to organize. We have a whole bunch of papers that have to go to India with us and be filed there. It's very nerve-racking to me for some reason. Anyway, we are down to our last little waiting game, I hope.
- We are waiting on our ICPC approval from our state which hopefully will come by the end of next week.
- We are waiting on our visas to get here, which should arrive by the middle of next week.
- We are waiting on Micah's passport approval. We have been given a tentative bit of hope that this could come sometime between the end of next week and Feb. 14th.
Once we have confirmation of these 3 documents, we can purchase our plane tickets! It's difficult having to do that at the last minute and not knowing when you are going to be traveling. I am a stay-at-home mom, so I could pack up and go tomorrow. However, with my husband being a school teacher and a worship leader at our church, it has been a little difficult for him to draw up lesson plans and plan music for services when he doesn't know when he'll be gone. Also, with 3 other children at home, we have only been able to make general plans for where they will be staying, how they will get to school, and who will take them to their ball games. :)
Even with all the uncertainty, we are going to shoot for flying out on Valentines Day...a very romantic and memorable way to spend the day! If the passport approval doesn't come through by then, we will just take it week by week and plan to leave the first Saturday after we receive it. So...we wait...

The apprehension about forgetting paperwork. I was nervous both times. Just get it all together, then get your husband to double check you. Then look through it again.
You are SOOO close now. How exciting!!! That would be very romantic if you left on Valentine's Day...you would definatly remember that day for years to come.
I love following your journey to your precious son,
April :-)
I remember reading about Anya Rashi's birth family very vividly too. Those names on paper made it more concrete that our family's gain was another's loss -- and I just had to trust that God is working out a story through combining our lives.
I am so excited for you -- you're in the home stretch! I pray all the details with child care fall together well.
Hugs,
Nancy
What a great V-Day that would be! It is right around the corner :).
So exciting! We'll be praying it all falls into place - so many details. Good thing our God is in the details!
What a great Valentine's Day trip! Hope that all that pesky paperwork comes in asap so you can jet off to the little one!
This last little bit was the hardest for me. Waiting for that one little thing. I hope it works out and Valentine's Day is your departure date!

You're sooooo close! What a cutie pie he is!!!!!
How exciting that you are so close to going meet Micah in person very soon. I am praying that all will go well. Thanks for the updates! Kristy
It seems like so long ago when I opened up the envelope from Dillon and saw the birth mother name. It was one of those sobering "real" moments, yet it still felt surreal. After that I had to take care of so much paperwork, spent hours double checking everything, guarded the bright red folder the entire trip to India to meet Zeena and then we finally picked up Zaleeya. It all seems so long ago, but it was only 3 months ago! Before you know it you'll be home, enjoy every minute of your trip!
